🐝💛🖤 READY TO ROAR INTO A NEW SCHOOL YEAR! 🖤💛🐝

Seguin ISD Convocation was the perfect way to kick off another exciting school year! The MSSD family joined educators and staff from across the district, all coming together with one purpose—to prepare, inspire, and get ready to make a difference for our students.

Our team showed up with Matador pride, energy, and excitement as we officially welcomed the 2026–2027 school year! We are ready for the challenges, opportunities, growth, and successes that await us.

We hosted Newbie Day at the Seguin Works Transition Program! 🎉

We were excited to welcome SHS students who will be attending our 18+program next year for a hands-on visit and introduction to all that Seguin Works has to offer. Students had the opportunity to explore the program, participate in activities, meet staff and current students, and get a glimpse into the experiences that help prepare them for independence, employment, and life after high school.

We loved getting to know our future students and cannot wait to see them grow and thrive with us next year! 🖤💛

Today we celebrated an incredible milestone for our Seguin Works 18+ Transition Program students at their Completion Ceremony! 🎓✨

We are so proud of each student for their hard work, growth, determination, and accomplishments throughout this journey. This program helps prepare young adults for independence, employment, and success in the community, and today was a beautiful reminder of how far they have come.

Thank you to our amazing staff, families, community partners, and supporters who help make these opportunities possible. Your encouragement and dedication make a lasting impact every single day.

Congratulations to our Seguin Works completers — your future is bright, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you! 🖤💛

Today was our last MSSD department monthly meeting of the school year, and what a wonderful time it was together! 💙

We received Skyward training from our amazing PEIMS team, celebrated Occupational Therapy Month, recognized our April/May birthdays, honored Speech Language Hearing Day, and applauded our Years of Service award recipients. We also took time to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and all the incredible work our staff does every single day.

So grateful to be a part of a department filled with dedication, compassion, teamwork, and heart. Thank you all for everything you do for our students and each other. Finishing the year strong together! 🎉🍎👏

During a recent teacher collaboration meeting, Alyssa Villegas, Dyslexia Interventionist and ELAR Resource Teacher at AJB, shared some innovative ideas she had relayed to the Region 4 Educational Service Center, the designers of SISD's dyslexia curriculum, which they will now be adding to their statewide resource hub for all interventionists to access.

She is a gift to her students, our Matador Special Services team, and to our district! We share well deserved thanks to her and all our teachers tirelessly striving to serve our students and improve outcomes through creativity, collaboration, and innovation!

What a wonderful two days at Field Day! 🎉

Our students had an amazing time on Thursday and Friday enjoying all the fun-filled activities, games, and laughter. From start to finish, it was incredible to see so many smiles, teamwork, and unforgettable moments being made. We were even able to capture some great pictures in the link below that truly highlight the joy and excitement of the event!

A huge thank you to Stacey Nolan for always going above and beyond to plan and organize such a successful Field Day. Your dedication and hard work make these experiences so special for our students, parents, and staff—we appreciate you more than you know!

Events like these are a great reminder of the power of coming together and creating lasting memories for our school community. 💙
