Currently in the discovery and launch phase, our future campus will be located on 5 acres near Seguin.

DAY 4 | WEEK OF BIG QUESTIONS 🚤🌿

Today’s big question: What is teamwork?

Our young leaders put teamwork into action as they worked on propulsion for their boats, testing different ideas to figure out how to get their creations moving. They collaborated, problem solved, made adjustments, and learned that sometimes the best ideas happen when everyone brings something different to the table.

And because learning at The Grove goes way beyond four walls, we wrapped up part of the day by heading outside to feed and care for the animals. 🐐🐓

Day 2 at Summer at The Grove 🌿🚤

Today’s big question: Is failure necessary for success?

And what better way to explore that question than building boats that might not actually float? 😂

Today our learners practiced teamwork, tested their designs, watched some ideas work and others… sink. Then they pivoted, problem solved, and tried again.

Along the way, they learned about payload, why weight matters, and how they can strengthen and improve their boats before tomorrow’s challenge: How much weight can they actually hold? 👀

Because at The Grove, failure isn’t the end of learning. Sometimes, it’s where the best learning begins.

At Curiosity Grove, freedom isn’t something we hand out on day one, it’s something learners earn by showing they’re ready for it.

We use two simple levels: Free and Not Free, plus a Studio Leader distinction for our most independent learners.

Not Free means close guidance and structure while a learner builds focus and self discipline.

Free means more choice in where they work, how they plan their day, and how they shape their own projects.
It’s not about age. It’s about trust, consistency, and showing up ready.

That’s how we help kids grow into people who can manage themselves, not just follow instructions.
