Navarro ISD - Student Health Advisory Council - SHAC School Health Advisory Council is an advisory group of individuals who represent segments of the community.

The group acts collectively to provide advice to schools on aspects of the school health program in accordance with Senate Bill 19 and the TEA.

We are asking for community ideas/tips to encourage our NISD kids to have a healthy summer! Entries will be placed on our SHAC social media and website! We'd love to see various ideas, such as simple healthy recipes, simple workout plans, or healthy coping and mental health suggestions.

We are a group of parents and community members working together to help our school board and administration direct our district in a way that is reflective of our culture and values. This council was born of State legislation but it belongs to the people of this community. School districts across the state are required to have the council, and each council is intended to be unique to the needs and desires of the community it serves. This council is yours to voice your opinion, learn new things, and help you as you raise your child to leads us all to the future.
