It’s been a long time since I’ve posted any video of me playing the piano 🎹! Ever since our German Shepherd, Chevy, passed away 12/26 - I haven’t been able to get myself to record anything on my grand. He was always at my feet and the star of every video … and my heart 💜. He loved the vibration & just being close to me - I miss him very much!

So … I’m still not at the grand, but this is me practicing for worship. Give Me Jesus, Upperroom.

To those of you who have been requesting me to post more piano 🎹 videos I’m sorry it’s been so long …. I used the app to turn the keys off on the recording so what I hear is what I’m playing, and the vocal & rest of the band.

Amazing Grace

I saw Animenz play his arrangement of “Amazing Grace” on YouTube yesterday, and was so moved by the flow and pull of it. I downloaded the sheet music right away! And it was FREE! Thank you!

This is Day #2 of practice. Playing as the Spirit leads me! Lots of mistakes, and not up to speed. Several places to work on notes, fi*****ng, and proper technique.

You can hear, especially after the key change, I am banging and unsure of where I’m moving, and what comes next. Overall, though, I am pleased for 3-4 hours of practice.

Record yourselves when you practice. You can hear and see when you’re not prepared for the next measure - even if you play the right notes. Remember, you learn by making mistakes and fixing them. Apply technique and skills you’ve learned.

Looking forward to Day #3 of practice - sometime over Christmas break.

The puppies are here! Meet Smokey & Bandit our English Mastiff puppies who will be in training, and watching our piano 🎹 lessons from their exercise pen outside the studio door for the next couple of months. They love to hear the piano 🎹 and feel it’s vibration.
