📚 B’s Book Pick of the Week: I Like Myself!

A sweet little story celebrating confidence, self-love, and all the things that make us uniquely US! 🥰 We love that this one comes in a BIG board book—the pictures are so fun, and even when I’m not reading it, B loves flipping through the pages all by herself! 📖

I’ve officially finished planning our very FIRST Play & Grow Monthly Group Session and I am SO excited about it!

I don’t want to give too much away because I want the activities to be a surprise for the kids 🤭 BUT our first session will be all about getting to know one another, trying new things, building confidence, and discovering just how much we can do when we give ourselves a little time. 💛

There will be, hands-on activities, plenty of opportunities to play and connect, and a special project your child will get to take home and continue using long after our session is over. 👀✨

This is exactly what I pictured when I dreamed up our Play & Grow monthly sessions- a small, welcoming group where kids can come as they are, keep their hands busy, talk, laugh, connect, and grow together.

Thank you SO much to everyone who entered the raffle AND took the time to fill out my survey! 💛 Your responses were seriously so helpful and gave me lots of great feedback as I plan for the fall!

For the raffle drawing this morning, I went LIVE and spun the wheel! 🎉 Annnnd apparently unlike Facebook, Instagram doesn’t automatically save your Live afterward 🤦🏼‍♀️ You learn something new every day!

BUTTTT most importantly… WE HAD A WINNER!! 🎉

What a FUN morning with this crew!!⚡️

We had a Pokémon filled morning and I WISH I had taken a video of their faces when I told them they were going to create their very own Pokémon card… named after THEM! And then ask their reactions when I laminated them, they were SO excited! One friend even immediately added his to the book collection he brought with him 😭🙌🏻 Made my late night of completing them so worth it haha!

We also created our own Pokémon and built habitats for them with dough, ate Pikachu Pirate’s B***y, celebrated our friend Jackson’s birthday and ended with one of my favorite games, making up a (Pokémon) story together, taking turns adding to it!

Long story short… Pikachu didn’t make it to the bathroom in time 🤣 but thankfully he had a few powers up his sleeve to save himself from embarrassment!

Silly and creative mornings are my favorite🤩

🌱 COMING SOON: PLAY & GROW monthly group sessions! 🌱

If you filled out my Fall Survey you may have already gotten a little sneak peek of this one! 👀💛

🌿 For now, Play & Grow will be for ages 6 & up! BUT if I have enough interest from my preschool families I am absolutely happy to open up a group for them too!

If you’re interested and haven’t filled out my Fall Survey yet, PLEASE do!
It has already been such a huge help in seeing what days and times work best for the majority of families interested!

🍎 One of my favorite first day of school activities! Be sure to save so you don’t forget this one!

Whether you are a teacher of littles or a parent with a child going back to school this fall, this is a great activity to ease first day jitters!

Here’s what to do:
📕 Read Alma and The Worry Stone (or if you don’t want to buy the book, there’s read aloud on YouTube)

🔎Go on a hunt with your little one to find some magic worry stones. I always find awesome ones by the beach!

🎨using paint or paint markers have your kiddos decorate their stones! This is a great time to talk about any worries before school starts. Then once dry it’s time to activate the worry stone!

❤️ Activate worry stone:
1. Have your child hold their stone in both hands.
2. Tell them to close their eyes and take three big belly breaths.
3. Have them whisper:
“I am brave. I am kind. I can do hard things.”
4. And then tell them to imagine their worries floating out of their body and into the stone for safekeeping while they learn and play at school!
5. Then have them put the stone in their backpack or pocket whenever you need a reminder that you are strong.

🚨Tip: it’s always smart to make more than one stone in case it gets lost 😉

🧚 RAFFLE TIME! 🧚

I had so many messages about my enchanted forest bins yesterday, so I’m going with a parent recommendation and doing a raffle! 🎉

🌈 These enchanted forest bins are perfect for everyone! I do however recommend for ages 3 and up due to the small parts. Adult supervision is always recommended! Such a great gift for your kiddo or for someone you know!
