Dear families! After a whirlwind couple of months I am moved into our Desert home - a rental for a few months. I am excited to work on my music albums for kids and adults at this time, especially music that helps lift or carry us through this difficult time.

My intention is to start showing up more for
you here in my music, in my album creations, and in my Songs and Sound for the Soul page and private group - which shares healing music for old people like your parents too 😄.

My website is colleenportermusic.com if you want to check out other music. I’ve written hundreds of songs so it’s far from complete. If I did nothing this year but catch up with the songs I’ve already written and put those out - that would be miraculous, though the new songs keep coming. Ahhhh! I will try to share the best to both worlds.

There is an EP of songs now avail on my website. “A New Kind of Spring” highlights creations I felt inspired to put out or make around April that spoke to the struggle of isolation and some of the lessons it taught. The “I See You 2020” album is hopefully not far behind it... it is a mostly folk-pop album about all different kinds of love and seeing others with an open heart.

(I am currently also working on a healing arts offering of centering songs one can listen to or sing along with to open your heart and balance your energy for the day, and an album of original mindful music for children’s health. Soon I’ll also be announcing a replay of my all-original musicals I wrote last year and (luckily) I had their productions professionally recorded. These were moving stories through music that had people feeling empowered and encouraged by their messages.)

Hi guys! See if this video works! I decided to post the music class video for the preschool here (this is very informal). The daily music moments will be much shorter.

I'm still trying to figure out format, age focus (whether to do the younger kids song(s) in a separate video), and the best way to do lessons when not "in person" - because honestly the way I love to teach is interactive, adding the kids ideas.

I do hope to figure out a way to offer interactive lessons too. SO bear with me... but at least in this stage it's FREE!

Please help me by telling me their feedback - what engaged the most and which sections were least favorite! Include their age and feel free to honest! Should I split ages into two short videos?
