Unlike a butterfly, moth, or other insects that undergo complete metamorphosis, cicadas have no pupal state.

Cicadas, for many, represent personal change, renewal, rebirth, and transformation.

Cicadas go through four life stages before they become adults.

Red Rock Wild Schooling is in a phase of change that feels very much like one of transformative our life stages.

Mixing age groups in classes allows for older children to naturally step into a role of leadership and guidance.

It is said that school is supposed to prepare a child for life - to expose them, through socialization, to the real world experiences.

In the world, very rarely will we be surrounded by people who were grouped with us based on age.

In the world we will be engaging and interacting with a melting pot of people, in age, gender and ethnicity.

We strive to create this culture by nurturing an environment that allows space for moments like these.
