Our third graders took their final walk down the halls of Heber Hunt.

As they walked the halls one last time, surrounded by cheers, smiles, and proud hearts, it was a reminder of just how special this chapter has been. We are so proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for this wonderful group of students.

We are ….Heber Hunt! 💛🖤

End-of-year experiences were in full force at Heber Hunt! Throughout the school year, students worked hard to earn DOJO dollars by showing positive behaviors, leadership skills, and kindness. Students had opportunities to spend their earnings in many fun ways all year long, and the end-of-year celebrations were a huge success!

Many student names were drawn for exciting experiences, including hair creations, nail polish, tattoos and face painting, slime making, board games, chips and salsa, bracelet making, and STEM activities where students created their own bubbles and bubble wands. Students also enjoyed active games and friendly competition through kickball, basketball, and soccer. And one special student won a whole house recess!

It was a fun-filled way to celebrate students’ hard work and positive choices throughout the year!

This year at Heber Hunt, students participated in meaningful service learning projects that helped make a difference in their school and community while learning valuable life skills along the way. Service learning gives students the opportunity to help others, care for the environment, and grow through teamwork, kindness, and problem-solving.

Kindergarten students explored the importance of clean air while learning about planting trees and the life cycle of plants. First grade focused on the important role bees and butterflies play in our environment. Second grade promoted healthy habits by creating informative videos, sharing recipes, and even helping launch the Walking School Bus initiative. Third grade shared important information about Retrieving Freedom and learned proper flag-folding techniques with support from JROTC.

We are so proud of the way our students used their learning to serve others and positively impact our school community this year!
