Our elementary guides and director recently spent an evening at Raintree Montessori exploring elementary Montessori materials and learning more about Montessori teacher training opportunities.
One of the best parts of Montessori is that the learning never endsโnot for the children and not for the adults. We are always seeking opportunities to deepen our knowledge and strengthen our practice so we can better serve our students and families.

๐ Happy Birthday, Ms. Devin! ๐
Ms. Devin has a special gift for truly seeing each child as an individual. Her patience, warmth, and deep respect for children beautifully reflect the Montessori philosophy and help create the nurturing environment that makes Wildwood so special.
We are incredibly grateful for all she brings to our students, families, and school community. Wishing her the happiest birthday! ๐ค โ๐ป ๐ฑ

On Wednesday welcomed SPD Detective Nick Camirand, Detective Casey Devorss, and their incredible therapy dog, Kyah, for a special Community Spotlight visit at Wildwood!
Of course, Kyah was a favorite! ๐ถ The children loved meeting her, asking questions, and learning how animals can serve and help people in meaningful ways.
Thank you to Detective Camirand, Detective Devorss, and Kyah for spending time with our students and helping us better understand the many ways people contribute to our community.

Last week, our elementary students welcomed Sheila Naylor and Jenny from Friends of the Monarch for an unforgettable Community Spotlight experience. ๐ฆ They brought living specimens representing the entire monarch life cycle, and the children were captivated as they learned about monarch generations, migration, and the incredible transformation from caterpillar to butterfly.
At Wildwood, this learning extended beyond a single visit. Weโve begun establishing our own pollinator garden, have mature milkweed growing on campus, and have been fortunate to witness the monarch life cycle unfold right in our classroom. Sheila and Jenny also generously gifted our students native wildflower seed packets and milkweed plants so they can continue creating habitats that support these important pollinators.
Thank you, Sheila and Jenny, for inspiring wonder, stewardship, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. ๐ฟ ๐ค
