Tuesdays with Terri ~ As some of you already know, I am not a comfortable international traveler (I guess WDW EPCOT doesn't count) That's why it is out of my comfort zone to travel overseas and yet in the last two years I have been to Iceland, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. AND I am actually excited to see where we decide to go next. So trust your inner wisdom, feel the fear and do it anyway. Let me know what that looks like for you. On to planning our next adventure.

Tuesdays with Terri ~ It's been a little more than a week since we returned from South Africa and Zimbabwe. Finally over the jet lag (that was a b..tch) and actually giving some thought as to where we go next. Travel may not be your jam (I didn't think it was mine until recently) but i invite you to think back to when you were young. What activity did you lose yourself in? Something that you were so engrossed and happy that you lost all sense of time? Explore that at this point in your life. Reading? Maybe time to write a book. Tennis? Explore adult pickleball leagues. Football (well, maybe not at my age). But you get my point. You're never too old to do something that brings you joy. Have fun in your exploration. You may be surprised where you end up.

Tuesdays with Terri ~ After 36 hours of travel we made it home from our magical African adventure. Truly a trip of a lifetime and could not have been realized without Denise, Astrid (African Eyes Travel) and Jennifer (ranch sitter extraordinaire). Visited 3 countries (South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia) and all the people we came in contact with were friendly, welcoming, helpful and so very happy.
So many fabulous memories and experiences that there is not enough room to share here. Trust me when I encourage you to embrace the adventure you've been dreaming of, even if it is scary. You won't regret it and will be so proud of yourself for feeling the fear and doing it anyway,

Tuesdays with Terri ~ Sitting on the veranda of our tent while glamping on the African Savannah. Following dreams we did not even know we had. And yet here we are under African skies, amongst the wildlife in the heart of a most beautiful, friendly and welcoming culture. I invite you to pull an arrow from your own heart quiver and see where it leads you. You probably wont be disappointed.

Tuesdays with Terri ~ I'm here to tell you that it's never too late to pursue adventure. I am tping this from my lodge room at Zulu Nyala Safari Reserve in Hulhluwe, South Africa. If anyone had told me I would be on an African safari at the glorious age of 68 I would have given you the side eye and moved on. And yet here I am. So pursue your dreams and adventures. Keep moving and learning. Continue to enjoy life to the fullest - whatever that looks like for you.

Tuesdays with Terri ~ 2026 Ms. Colorado Senior America agent is done and we have a new queen. Congratulations to Colleen Costigan and her court. Your journey will be as amazing as you want and the MCSAP Cameo Club is here to support you. As for me, it's time to take a few moments away from all the sparkle and backstage work needed to pull off a production like this. Can you guess where I'm off to? I will post whenever I get WiFi connection. But truly I will prefer the nature connection which is absolutely my recharge button. Gratitude 🦓🦒🐘🐃 🐆

Tuesdays with Terri ~ It's Pageant week, All our hard work, learning, laughing comes to a pinnacle this Saturday. One more full day of rehearsal on Friday then the actual Ms. Colorado Senior America Pageant on Saturday. All of the ladies have done a fabulous job preparing. And no matter who walks away with the crown, everyone should be extremely proud of themselves for accepting the gift of this opportunity. Good luck, bon chance, have fun and I'm so glad I get to be a part of your journey.

Tuesdays with Terri - This particular CALM quote is quite appropriate for me today. Ms Colorado Senior America Pageant is next Saturday with dress rehearsal day on Friday. Yesterday was another rehearsal day with practice for the ragtimers and the Bella Donne dancers. Then a walk through of the theater for the contestants. Definitely a full day. In addition to all this, two days after the pageant I will find myself on a 17 hour flight to South Africa. So much going on that I need a day (or 2 or 3) to relax , relax, relax. How about you? Do you need to schedule some relax time on your calendar?

Tuesdays with Terri ~ Some days you can just feel the joy spark shrink down to a quiet ember. Sitting in the silence; low energy; thoughts of "why bother". And then, when least expected, someone comes up to you and shares how much they appreciate you and all you are doing for the club. They just fanned your joy ember back into a little flame. You smile, thank them and continue to nurture your little joy flame. This happened to me yesterday. Thank you Judy. And let's fan someone else's joy flame today

Tuesdays with Terri ~ Ms Colorado Senior America Pageant rehearsals are in full swing. Every Monday from March 16 through pageant week we are at Miller's Dance Studio for 4 hours of rehearsals and prep. Not a contestant this year but am wearing several different hats as pat of the Pageant Staff. It's an honor to support these fabulous women on their Pagent journey. Reach out if you want to give it a try next year.
