SFCC Career and Technology Center The Career & Technology Center is located on the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia, Missouri. The CTC offers training to high school students.

State Fair Career & Technology Center is located on the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia, Missouri. It is one of four area schools in Missouri that is affiliated with a community college. The CTC offers training to high school juniors and seniors in eight technical training programs. The program options currently include Automotive Service Technology, Building Trades, Early Childhood Careers, Electrical and Power, Graphic Design, Health Occupations, Machine Tool, and Welding. An Alternative Education program is also available to assist students with credit recovery. The learning experiences a student has at SFCC's CTC are most likely different from any other learning experiences that a student has had previously. It is the philosophy of CTC that each student should be provided the opportunity to attain his/her full potential; however, we recognize that every student differs in interests, needs, and abilities.

Second-year Graphic Design students presented t-shirt design concepts to their clients, the Early Childhood Professions students. The t-shirt design project is a collaborative effort between the Graphic Design and Early Childhood Professions programs. The Early Childhood students provide a theme to the graphic design students who then create designs using Adobe Illustrator based on that direction. The students present their ideas, receive feedback, and make edits. These shirts serve as uniforms for the Early Childhood Professions students to wear during their practicum at Loftus Early Childhood Center.

Several seniors were willing to help out with their new "beginner" classmates today in the welding lab. Senior students play a very helpful role in getting the juniors started early in the year. It is also a great opportunity for them to get back into the swing of things after being away from the lab all summer.

Big creativity making a meaningful impact! 🎨💜

SFCC Career and Technology Center student Victoria Romanskyy used her graphic design skills to create custom covers for feminine hygiene product dispensers across the SFCC-Sedalia campus. The dispensers are managed by the Caring Closet and help provide free pads and tampons to students in need.

Graphic Design students worked on a variety of projects in our second semester, including ad campaign design, screen printing, sublimation, photography and video. All the students worked hard and created a lot of great work as we complted another successful school year. That's a wrap!
