Building Better Connections Between Engineers and Technicians

We had a great morning in ENGR 200 Engineering Seminar with instructors from our Career & Technical Education programs! They brought valuable perspectives on how engineering connects with our technical fields, the importance of strong communication between engineers and technicians, and how better collaboration can improve the way ideas move from design to real-world application. It was a great opportunity for students to see how engineering and technical education work together to solve problems and make an impact.

Construction management day 1 starting out with some team building exercises! Students were required to plan and design a tower out of spaghetti noodles to support two marshmallows. They were put on a time and material constraints. Super fun way to get to know each other and start team building out the gate! Great job Construction Management!

State Fair Community College will offer a new paramedic training
program at its Clinton campus through a partnership with the University of Missouri Health Care Emergency Medical Services Institute and Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare.
The 51-week program will begin Oct. 29. Classes will meet Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clinton campus. Participants must hold a current basic emergency medical technician certification before entering the program. Students will complete 516 classroom hours and 650 clinical hours for a total of 1,166 training hours. The application deadline is Oct. 16.
