After pre-qualifying, families will receive a link to formally apply with the Missouri State Treasurer’s Office, where they will be required to upload tax information, proof of residency (like a driver’s license or utility bill), and other items needed to prove their eligibility. This application has been streamlined to hopefully avoid some of the confusion we were seeing. It is also now a separate FACTS application than what your school uses, so any old links will not work.

Qualifying criteria have not changed for the 2026-27 school year.
Per state law, to qualify for MOScholars the student must be

a legal Missouri resident who meets one of the four following conditions:

Has a formal IEP/ISP issued within the past 36 months; OR

Has a household income under 300% of the reduced lunch threshold (Example: A family of four with a household income of $178,433 this year or less)

AND either:

Going into Kindergarten or 1st Grade; OR

Attended public school for a semester during the past 12 months; OR

Is a sibling of a renewal scholarship student.
