Good Afternoon Husky Families, Just wanted to give a few last updates before we begin our 1st day of school on Monday, August 24th:

1. If you drop your student off at school there is a new drop off spot. You will still enter the parking lot the same way as always. You will now just drop students off at the stop sign to walk down sidewalk and enter through cafeteria instead of front door. There will be adults out helping as well. Attached is a map of the new drop off location. Earliest drop off time this year is 8:30..

2. We are excited to be doing our 1st PBIS/House Kick off Event on Friday, August 28th We will be announcing some fun new additions to our house program that should spice it up a little bit this year. For this event we would love to have students wear their house colors. If your student is new and does not have a WES house yet that will be revealed soon!

3. Summer Reading and Math Logs are due by Wednesday, August 26th! Make sure you complete them so you can receive your 1st dog tags of the year and participate in the incentive!

4. Uniforms: Monday thru Thursday - Regular Uniform Friday - House or Spirit wear. **If remember this Friday try to wear house colors for the kick off!!

5. Attached you will also find a brochure that was given out at open house. It has a lot of really great info about the upcoming school year...

6. The attached family calendar will give you some info about happenings for the 1st 2 months of school. Be on the lookout for additions. We are really excited to introduce the students to house lunches!!!

7. WES wanted to say thank you to all the amazing organizations that attended our Open House last night! Special thanks to Preston Ford for all the school supplies and to our PAWS Parent group for organizing the uniform closet and making gently used uniforms available to students!

WES Family Updates:
1. For families with students entering PK-K we are holding individual family conferences on Monday, August 24th from 10-6 and Tuesday, August 25th from 9-4. You will be able to sign up for a time at Open House.

2. We are excited to welcome families at our Open House on Thursday, August 20th from 3pm to 5pm. Our Open House will be a great opportunity for your student to meet their teacher, see their new classroom, drop off supplies, and get connected with community organizations. Hope to see you there!

3. Reminder school starts:
- Grades 1-5 - August, 24th
- Grades PK-K - August 26th
- School opens at 8:30am and start time is 8:45am. Dismissal begins at 3:35pm.

4. Please double check out our uniform policy that is attached. Remember Fridays students can wear house shirts or spirit wear!

5. Our PAWS Parent Group will be at Open House. If you have any gently used uniforms that are no longer being used you can bring them and we will make sure they go to a good home!
