S.E.A.R. PRINCIPLES
ONLY FIGHT TO PROTECT
ONLY FIGHT TO DEFEND
NEVER BE AFRAID TO STAND
NEVER BE AFRAID TO STRIKE
ALWAYS STAY CALM
ALWAYS STAY IN CONTROL
Sear CRF is a Close Range Form of Self Defense constructed by Jesse Johnson in 2015. I ultimately decided that this was something that I wanted to bring to the world because the Courageous Story of the men and women of Flight 93 has been in my heart ever since 911 the very day that America herself cried the hardest that she had cried since the brother war. Sear CRF is Not a fighting method Because fighting is not and will never be the goal of a Sear Self Defense Practitioner. Sear Self Defense Practitioners do not train to become fighters because peace is our greatest aspiration and our highest priority. So even though we might find ourselves in a situation that can be considered a Fight. We do not veiw ourselves as Fighters or are actions as Fighting. We are Fenders and what we do if necessary is Fend off Violence with the use of Fending..
Fending Comes from the word Fend that can be used interchangeably with Defend. According to Merriam-Webster the Realm of Fend/Fending encompasses
bulwarking,
covering,
defending,
fencing,
forfending,
guarding,
keeping,
protecting,
safeguarding,
screening,
securing,
shielding,
and warding
Sear Self Defense is so much more than Hand to Hand. That being said the hand to hand aspects of Sear Close Range Fending incorporates elements of refined NRB or No Rule's Boxing. It's not pretty and it's not rocket science at all. It's Gross Motor, Unsportsmanlike, Unrestricted, Unrelated Boxing. It's boxing with everything that was taken out for the sake of the sport of Boxing put back in. Fending is not martial art. Fending is something that we all know even though the majority of us don't know that we know it. It's something that we were all born with because it's been in our DNA for thousands of years it's primal and instinctual. The reason a lot of us have forgotten it is because of these soft times that we've been living in. Unlike the majority of you though I understand and remember that soft times can be gone in instant. 911 was still yesterday for me because of soft times people could have stood sat in fear while men with cheap utility box cutters drove to jetliners into our twin towers and our pentagon resulting in a mass casualty of life. But the men and women on 93 stood up! They Stood up! fought against Evil and evil didn't have it's way anymore on that tragic day. NEVER BE AFRAID TO STAND is part of Sear Ethos
