Last night at the School Board meeting, we celebrated the retirement of two very special members of our Wildcat front office staff! 🎉🐾

Together, they have dedicated 63 years of service to public education in Florida, making a lasting impact on students, families, staff, and our entire school community. Their dedication, professionalism, and care have been invaluable to our Wildcat family.

While we will truly miss them on campus and in the front office, we are excited for them as they begin this well-deserved new chapter. We wish them many years of happiness, relaxation, and adventure in retirement!

Thank you both for your incredible service and commitment to education. 💙💛

A few weeks ago, several of our talented 5th grade Wildcats were recognized at the district Tag Art Awards Ceremony! 🎨🐾

Kids Tag Art is a school fundraising project in Highlands County that inspires public school, private school, and homeschool art students to design their own specialty license plate artwork. Students learn the practical application of license plate art while supporting worthy causes, modeled after Florida’s 100+ specialty license plates.

We are so proud of our Wildcats for showcasing their creativity, talent, and hard work through their unique designs. Congratulations to all of our student artists on this outstanding accomplishment! 💙💛

⭐ May's Word of the Month: Responsible Decision-Making ⭐

This month, we are focusing on Responsible Decision-Making: Thinking about all options and outcomes to make the best choice.

Parents, here are some tips to help reinforce this skill at home:

👉 DESCRIBE BEING RESPONSIBLE
Take a moment to describe specific ways your child can practice being responsible.

EXAMPLE: Children can practice making responsible decisions by picking up toys after they are finished playing.

👉 CHAT ABOUT IT
Start a conversation by asking your child these questions:

Describe a decision you made today.

What were the choices you considered?

What were the possible outcomes?

What was the final outcome?

Do you think that was a responsible decision?
