FWE is so excited to start the school year and welcome students back to campus. We want to give huge thanks to Zach's Pizza and Hobby Hill Florist for helping to fuel and treat our teachers during pre week💙🐾🍕💐

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 11th. We can't wait to see all of our students! This day only, Kindergarteners can be walked to their classroom. See the flyer for more information. 3 days and counting!

Yesterday staff solved puzzles, climbed through a laser maze, and deciphered code as they found clues around campus in a live action Clue game! 🕵🏼‍♀️ In the end, everyone was a winner and left with extra supplies for their classrooms! 🖍️ ✂️ 📓 🎧 ✏️

We enjoyed seeing all of our Wildcat families Tuesday night! A big thank you to all of our families that came out! 5 days until we have all of our Wildcats back on campus and we’re ready for it! 💙🐾💙

We had a great time welcoming back staff today! 🌼We started off the year with food, fellowship, and plenty of caffeine to give us the energy we needed to get ready to see our Wildcat families tomorrow at orientation! 💙🐾💙

We are thrilled to announce our new principal, Miss. Patricia Smith. Miss Smith has been a teacher in Highlands County for 17 years and spent the past four years as the assistant principal at Lake Placid Elementary. She has a heart for our school community and is passionate about student success. We are excited for her to bring her wealth of experience to Fred Wild. 💙🤍

Last night at the School Board meeting, we celebrated the retirement of two very special members of our Wildcat front office staff! 🎉🐾

Together, they have dedicated 63 years of service to public education in Florida, making a lasting impact on students, families, staff, and our entire school community. Their dedication, professionalism, and care have been invaluable to our Wildcat family.

While we will truly miss them on campus and in the front office, we are excited for them as they begin this well-deserved new chapter. We wish them many years of happiness, relaxation, and adventure in retirement!

Thank you both for your incredible service and commitment to education. 💙💛
