Heartland Christian Academy Announces New Early Learning Partnership With First Sebring Church
Launching the HCA Early Learning Center – Opening January 1

Heartland Christian Academy (HCA) is pleased to announce a new educational partnership with First Sebring Church, launching the HCA Early Learning Center on January 1. Through this partnership, HCA will assume full operational ownership of the preschool program while First Sebring Church continues as an active ministry partner and owner of the facility.

This collaboration strengthens HCA’s longstanding mission to serve families in Highlands County with Christ-centered, developmentally rich education from the earliest years through high school. By joining together, HCA and First Sebring Church are aligning their resources, experience, and vision to create a unified pathway for children to grow in knowledge, character, and faith.

The preschool will continue to operate under the trusted leadership of Mrs. Liliana Raghoo, whose continued service as Director ensures stability, quality, and a smooth transition for families and staff.

“Bringing the preschool into the Heartland Christian Academy family allows us to carry out a shared vision from early learning through grade 12,” said Rebekah Kogelschatz, Head of School at HCA. “We are grateful for First Sebring Church’s partnership and their commitment to Christian education in our community. Together, we will build a program where children can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.”

Today, our preschool underwent its annual inspection through the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) and we are overjoyed to share that we not only passed with flying colors, but have officially been recognized as a 🏆 School of Excellence! 🏆

This is one of the highest honors a school can receive from FLOCS, representing excellence in classroom quality, safety, leadership, staff performance, and overall campus operations. It is a major milestone that reflects our heart, hard work, and dedication to your children every single day.

Our inspector spent the day visiting classrooms, reviewing records, and engaging with our teachers and students. And their feedback was glowing! They were so impressed by the warm, nurturing environment, professionalism of our staff, and the structured learning atmosphere that makes our school truly shine.

Community in Action!

Yesterday we were blessed to welcome student volunteers from Heartland Christian Academy onto our campus! These students are working toward their monthly community service hours as part of their graduation program, and what a joy it was to see them dive in with such enthusiasm and heart.

They rolled up their sleeves in so many areas:
✨ Assisting in the church office folding bulletins for Sunday service
✨ Helping in the music suite by assembling binders for our choir
✨ Tending to the church garden and prepping it for a fresh new season
✨ Joining us in the preschool; from the infant rooms all the way through our preschool classes with sharing stories, engaging in crafts, helping our littles get ready for nap, and even patting backs to sleep

This partnership is more than just “helping out.” It’s an opportunity for older students to grow in responsibility, kindness, and leadership, while our preschoolers benefit from the extra love, attention, and encouragement of these role models. Together, we’re building a bridge between generations and creating a ripple of community service that extends far beyond our campus.

We are absolutely thrilled to continue this partnership! Once a month, these bright young volunteers will return to serve alongside our staff, support our students, and experience the joy of giving back.

We are thrilled to announce that on Monday, August 11th at 9:30 AM, our first day of school will kick off with a visit from the Police K-9 Unit! 🐶👮‍♂️

Students will get to see police vehicles up close, meet amazing officers, and learn about their incredible bloodhound partners. This will be such a fun and memorable start to the year! 💙✨
