Real-Life Learning. Inspired by Nature.

07/31/2026

When you give kids real tools, real problems, and real ownership — they don't just rise to the occasion. They exceed it. They organize, they lead, they build. And somewhere in that process, they discover something about themselves that no standardized test could ever measure.

That's confidence. The kind that sticks.

Our Fall session runs August 14 through October 9, and we would love for you to join us.

Each Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., caregivers and their young children (birth to age 3) will gather for a peaceful, rhythm-filled morning of songs, movement, nature exploration, outdoor play, seasonal crafts, shared snack, and meaningful community.

Our 9-week session is $35 per class ($315 for the full session).

APPLY HERE: https://sis.factsmgt.com/admissions-parent/home?districtCode=atp-fl&memberId=19828&path=%252Foa%252Findex.cfm&sessionCode=anonymouspath

There is no fee to apply, and tours or visiting days are not required for the Parent & Child program. The application is brief and should take only about five minutes to complete.

Enrollment is limited to 10 families to preserve the intimate nature of the class. Once the session is full, additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

We look forward to sharing this special season with your family. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out, we're happy to help!

That's what happens when kids actually cook. Not follow a recipe. Cook. Macerate the tomatoes. Chiffonade the basil. Make the garlic butter. Toast the bread on a griddle. Finish with a glaze.

They learn the technique, they understand the why, and somewhere in between, they discover they like things they never thought they would.

That's not a cooking class. That's education.

Most schools prepare kids for tests.
We prepare them for life.
That means letting them get things wrong, figure things out, and surprise themselves. It means running outside between lessons, not because it's recess, but because the world is the classroom.
The goal is a curious, capable human being.

While the girls craft a gluten-free, dairy-free take on Dubai chocolate, the boys are deep in a chess match across the table. Zero screens involved.

This is just a regular day at The Academy.

“Our Keys to Education framework reflects what the real world actually requires of people: not just test scores, but clarity of thinking, discipline, creativity, and resilience. While traditional education systems are largely focused on optimizing standardized test performance, our model aims to optimize human performance. We absolutely take academic rigor seriously, but we recognize that intellectual growth is deeply connected to whole wellness, nature integration, and the role of family in a child’s development. With this focus, we create the conditions in which students can learn to think coherently, build strong nervous systems, and cultivate disciplined minds capable of solving complex problems. When our students graduate, the goal is not simply that they performed well on exams, but beyond that — they are prepared to operate at a high level in the real world. This is not an incremental improvement to the current model of schooling, it is a new operating system for education, built on the understanding that while smart can be taught, genius must be developed and nurtured in the right environment.” – Head of School, Colleen Paul-Hus The Academy At The PARC

Our students graduate with transcripts, college counseling, and a portfolio of real work — built through an education that actually respects how they develop, not how a standardized system decided they should. Drop any other questions down below!

Most kids have been taught that science is a subject. A set of facts to memorize, equations to balance, tests to pass.

At The Academy, we start somewhere different — with a question, a specimen, a moment of genuine curiosity. The kind that makes a student lean in rather than check out.

That's where real scientific thinking begins.

We asked our students what makes The Academy more than a school.

They didn't mention test scores or worksheets.

They talked about Gaga Ball and playing in the forest. Taking care of animals. Freedom to learn the way they need to learn.

What a blessing to have an environment that supports who children actually are, not who a system needs them to be.
