USA FFA Greenhouse Sale this Friday 3-6pm and Saturday 9-6pm! 🪴 🌿

Please come and support our students and purchase some of the plants/flowers that they grew!

This is our biggest fundraiser for the FFA Chapter. Due to a tough climate lesson, we are not on track to raise enough funds to keep us going throughout the year. All proceeds go into the chapter and is used for the students for jackets, contests, materials, and trips.

My name is Madalyn Tenbusch and I am so excited to be serving as one of your Regional Representatives this year! I am a member of the Unionville-Sebewaing FFA chapter. I play softball and basketball and absolutely love warm weather… which is slowly approaching in Michigan. I can’t wait for this year's Regional Camp and am really excited to see everyone there!

*PLEASE READ*
This is a hard, but necessary, update to write. Our Plant Systems class has been hard at work since the beginning of March. They've been planting plugs, hanging baskets, and starting vegetables. Things were growing GREAT, until we had a tragic climate accident two weeks ago. We were able to take this accident and turn it into a positive learning experience. After many tears were shed, from Advisor and students alike, we have been able to fully assess the damage now. We lost over 200+ hanging baskets and over 150 flats of annuals, perennials, and most of our vegetables. The plants that were not lost, received damaged leaves. It was our intention to open the Friday and Saturday before Mother's Day, but our plants need another week of growth. We had so many new plants this year and even more hanging baskets! We were planning on a $12,000 plant sale this year to support our students, but unfortunately, our biggest fundraiser will not be able to fulfill our needs for the chapter because of the accident. The money that we raise is used to purchase FFA jackets, pay for contests, workshops, and materials for hands-on ag education. Our greenhouse will be open for our plant sale on Friday, May 15 from 3-6pm and on Saturday, May 16 from 9-6pm. We do still have about 40% of our hanging baskets, patio pots, and annuals that survived. Please stay tuned this week for updated pictures of current plants.
