Hialeah High Spring Fling 2024

My heart is so full for the love of our reunion this year and our wonderful Hialeah graduates. Always willing to help, decorate, feed, take pictures and just have fun. I can't even begin to thank everyone who helped with this years reunion. Thank you Karen Dell Westphal who took my hundreds of phone calls and questions this past year. You were amazing!!!
We have the BEST high school and graduates ever.
The weather was a little chilly for us native Floridians and this morning was 52 degrees.

I coordinated with David Clark to have a launch Friday night and it did not disappoint. It was an amazing sight!!

The hotel was 80% capacity with the reunion and that was just at Captain Hirams. That didn't include the other hotels, people who came for the day and others who live in the area and came for the weekend. Before I left this morning, there were already so many rooms reserved for next year's Hialeah High Spring Fling 2025. Next year's reunion will be hosted by Debbie Carlson Smith and Robert Lowery as her assistant. There will be a new page that will be a lot more user friendly.

Please send your pictures to Messenger through this page and to my personal page and we will get them posted as soon as possible. I am so proud to have grown up in Hialeah and cherish the memories that were made. Hialeah will always have a very special place in my heart forever!!

Today is the day T-Breds!! We are patiently waiting for you at Captain Hiram’s! There is a bad storm coming later this afternoon and predictions of up to 40mph winds and lots of rain, but only for the day! The rest of the weekend looks fantastic! Please drive careful and we’ll see you soon!

We are one week away T-Breds! I am receiving calls from people who are wanting to come and I just received a call from someone who is giving up their room for Thursday-Sunday. Please contact me via phone if you are giving up your room or need one and I will put you in contact with those in need!!

Hello T-Breds!!!

I continue to receive phone calls about the reunion. So many people have decided to come and fortunately have found rooms. If you want to come and can’t find a room, continue to call.
Hopefully there will be a launch, warm weather and lots of fun. JC and I live in the area and visit Captain Hiram’s weekly.
The ocean is about 10 miles away and always beautiful. See you soon! Please if you have any questions feel free to call!!

We now have the dates and group code for the Hialeah Spring Fling for 2025!!!!!!

April 10, 11 and 12th.

The code is HHSF25.

The rates have gone up since this year but we are still getting a discount. There is also a $15 resort fee. All rooms for next year must be made by MARCH 10, 2025. Reservations can be made at 772-388-8588.

I will contact Best Western for overflow and rates at a later date!!!

Good Morning T-Breds!!!

3 weeks and one day to go. Captain Hiram's posted their entertainment calendar the week we are there and there are some very good local bands with Thursday night having the Red Not Chili Peppers and Friday and Saturday the Tequila Cowboys.
A few people have cancelled their rooms, so if you don't have a room, give them a call.

I have received so many calls from people who are coming for the day on Saturday and others who have found rooms locally. We have over 70 rooms at Captain Hirams that are reserved for April 11-13th. Best Western did not have the exact number but said there are going to be available rooms, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Join us for free drinks with the Captain on Friday at Scoops Top Shelf Bar, from 4PM-6PM, exclusively for hotel guests at Captain Hirams.

Good Morning T-Breds!!! Tomorrow will be four weeks until our reunion. I have heard from so many people who have never been to a reunion, who are coming for the first time. What a reunion this will be! We have about 75 rooms reserved at Hiram's and Best Western and there are others who are staying at hotels in the area, and some who are coming for the day!! If you want to stay at Hiram's or Best Western, keep trying as there have been cancellations.

The activities will begin on Thursday April 11th. after check-in. We will meet at the bar on the water and then dinner. Friday is open to others who will be checking in, but most will go to the bar and eat dinner there.

Saturday we will have entertainment and fun at the pool from noon to whenever, but usually 2 or 3. Don't know if we will need them at the pool, but we will definitely need bagged chairs at Bimini Beach, if it is available, but please bring them. Saturday at 5PM we will all meet for pictures and then dinner and a band.

Please remember, as this is a resort with so many activities at Captain Hiram's and the immediate area, there are bicycles, kayaks and boat rentals here. The beach, treasure museum, pirate museum, botanical gardens are all within a half hour. You can park your car at Hiram's and not leave until Sunday if you also want to do that.

Happy hour is Monday-Friday 3-6 and at Scoops top shelf bar, from 4-6 Friday's you can have Drinks with the Captain for hotel guests only.
