Are you a Neuroscience or Biochemistry major? Did you know that graduates of these majors can become:
- Clinical Research Assistant
- Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
- Healthcare Data Associate
- Medical Writing Associate
- Biotech Project Coordinator
- Science Communications Assistant
- Quality Assurance Associate

Not sure where to start or don’t know if you’ll like the work? Try a Career Experiment.
- Scientific Discovery: Find a recent health, neuroscience, or biotechnology news story. What question were researchers trying to answer? What evidence supports their conclusions? What new questions does the research raise?
- Science Communication: Choose a scientific topic you find interesting and explain it to a friend, family member, or non-expert audience. How would you make the information accurate, engaging, and easy to understand?
- Health and Human Behavior: Pick a health habit, behavior, or wellness trend that interests you. What does scientific evidence say about it? What claims are supported by research, and which ones need more evidence?
- Quality and Improvement: Think about an experience you've had with healthcare, education, campus services, or another organization. What worked well? What could have been improved? How might better processes improve outcomes for the people being served?
- Research and Evidence: Find a scientific study and focus on the results. What did the researchers discover? What data did they collect? What conclusions can reasonably be drawn from the findings?

Draft and update your resume during our exclusive drop-in hours! Stop by for personalized advice about how to best refine your materials and prep for upcoming career fairs.

Exclusive, extended drop-in hours are in Mary Gates Hall 134:
- Monday, October 5 - 11:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 6 - 11:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Meet with a career coach during our drop-in hours to also:
- Develop and practice giving an elevator pitch
- Prep conversation starters or ice breakers
- Learn about how to develop a career fair plan by learning about which employers will be attending
- Get support with how to research companies you want to learn more about and how to draft relevant questions you could ask recruiters

Note that our drop-in sessions are not available to all students/alumni. If you are a student of the following colleges/schools, please connect with your respective, specialized career services office for drop-in and scheduled appointments:

Whether you're attending a career fair or have an interview, the Husky Career Closet is available! Come elevate your "professional" styling or wardrobe and find items to help you feel comfortable and confident.

Popular items like blazers and shoes are a quick, simple way to add to an outfit you may already have or stop by and find items like dress pants, button-downs, blouses, dresses, and more.

Some items and sizes may be limited as we rely on donations to feed into our inventory, however we strive to keep the closet stocked with a variety of items in different sizes, colors, and styles.

Are you a Geography, Economics, or Applied & Computational Math Sciences major? Did you know these majors do a lot of work with data and apply it in different ways?

Graduates of these majors can become:
- Junior Data Analysts
- Business Intelligence Associates
- Consumer Research Associates
- Supply Chain Coordinators
- Risk & Compliance Associates
- GIS & Spatial Technicians

Not sure where to start or don’t know if you’ll like the work? Try a Career Experiment.
- Data: Find a public dataset about something you care about, like sports, housing, music, transportation, climate, or college majors. Ask yourself: What patterns stand out? What surprises you? What questions does the data raise?
- Business Process Improvement: Pick a process you use regularly, like ordering food, finding campus parking, registering for classes, grabbing coffee, or checking out library materials. Then ask yourself: What's working well? Where are the bottlenecks? How could the process be improved?
- Risk Analysis and Decision-Making: Choose a real-world decision, such as buying a car, starting a business, investing money, or planning an event. Think through the possible risks and outcomes, then consider: What information would help you make a more informed decision?
- Communities and Planning: Pick a local issue that interests you, such as transit, housing, walkability, sustainability, public safety, or green space. Explore questions like: Who is affected? What data exists about the issue? What changes could make a difference?
- Storytelling with Data: Find an interesting dataset and bring the information to life visually. Create a chart, infographic, dashboard, or map. As you work, ask yourself: What story is the data telling? What insights should someone take away from it?

This event is a great opportunity to connect with employers hiring for internships, full-time jobs, and more. You’ll meet recruiters, ask questions, and discover roles you might not even know existed, all in one place.

The fair is open to ALL majors, ALL class years, and ALL UW campuses, and alumni are welcome as well. Whether you're looking for experience, inspiration, or simply a chance to network, there's a place for you here.

Calling all Psychology majors! Did you know there’s more to Psych than becoming a therapist? There are plenty of careers for psychology majors, graduates become:
-Behavior Technicians
- Recruiting Coordinators
- Associate UX Researchers
- Human Resources Specialists
- Junior Data Analysts
- Market Research Assistants
- Curriculum Designers
- Project & Event Coordinators

Not sure where to start or don’t know if you’ll like the work? Try a Career Experiment.
- Behavior Technician / Human Services: Spend 15 minutes observing a public space and ask yourself: What behaviors seem to influence other people's actions? What patterns do you notice? How does the environment affect behavior?
- Human Resources / Recruiting: Think about the best team, workplace, class, or club you've been part of. Write down: What made it work? For recruiting, find a job posting that looks interesting and ask yourself: Which qualifications are essential versus preferred? How would you identify a strong candidate?
- UX Research: Open your favorite (or least favorite) app and spend 10-minutes observing: What feels intuitive? What's confusing? What would you improve and why?
- Data Analysis: Find a statistic about something you care about and ask yourself: What story does this data tell? What questions does it raise? What information might be missing?
- Market Research: Choose a product you use regularly and investigate: Who is it marketed to? What needs or emotions is it appealing to? Why might people choose it over alternatives?
- Project Coordination: Think about an event you've attended recently and break it down: What had to happen before the event? Who needed to coordinate? What challenges may have come up?
