①Verbal- synonyms
Assess a student’s vocabulary.This improves both precision of speech and writing as well as the comprehension of nuances in the speech and writing of others.
②Verbal- analogies
Assess a student‘s ability to logically relate different ideas to one another. Such comparisons improve problem solving, decision-making, perception, memory, communication, and reasoning skills as well as reading and vocabulary.

③Verbal- sentence completion
Reading Comprehension
Reading passages tend to be relatively short. However, they often have complex sentence structures. The passages are usually not straightforward. Students will be asked to read about topics they are most likely unfamiliar with. The questions themselves can be equally complex.

Writing
The writing sample is unscored but is sent to admissions departments with your scores. Officers
review your writing sample response for its individual merits and writing proficiency.
Creative narrative and expository writings are practiced on alternative days. Writing instruction and reviewings are provided for writing improvement.
