A positive, strength-focused approach to adult ADHD
We are building a community of people who understand that adult ADHD is a paradox. The same person who has great difficulty keeping track of their keys, paying attention to a conversation, or meeting deadlines may also be remarkably empathetic, intuitive, and creative. Seeing the full picture of ADHD opens up a whole new realm of possibilities
for learning, growing, and creating the life you desire. UnpackingADHD.com does not advocate for the abandonment of traditional diagnostic or treatment tools, such as stimulant medications and cognitive behavioral therapy. However, we also know that people with ADHD traits are not broken or disabled. They’re just wired differently. With knowledge and support to understand how your brain really works, you can see a path and feel hope, possibly for the first time. UnpackingADHD.com was founded by Don Baker, a licensed counselor who was diagnosed with ADHD in 1997. Don has been leading groups and creating workshops for adults with ADHD (and those who love them) for more than 25 years.
