Haring Center for Inclusive Education The Haring Center improves the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families with research and training that drive education policy.

The Haring Center is the leader in inclusive education. Within the Haring Center, the Experimental Education Unit (EEU) serves children with and without disabilities. The EEU is a living laboratory for the Research team, which has a 50-year history at the forefront in research about how children with developmental disabilities learn. The Professional Development & Training team moves research from

the research unit into practice at schools and childcare centers throughout Seattle, Washington and the United States. Whether it begins with a toddler at the EEU, a researcher testing a new understanding of how children with autism learn or a trainer coaching current teachers, the Haring Center is improving the lives of children and their families.

This week, EEU teachers return to school to get ready for the new school year.
At the Haring Center we prepare the educators, researchers, and leaders who will shape more inclusive schools and communities.
Every quarter the EEU and Haring Center work with approximately 30 undergraduate students, a dozen graduate students, and five Graduate Students Assistants.

This free advocacy course is for parents, family members, and allies who want to create more inclusive schools and communities.
The goal is belonging and membership for all students, from preschool through K to 12.

Saturdays, September 19 through October 24 at 9:00 a.m.
In person at The Arc Legacy Center in SeaTac

Classes are discussion based and designed for parents. Allies are welcome.
