Because we no longer have open hours, we will be posting a featured plant once a week so we can still participate in our community of learning!

First up is our Kalanchoe diagremontiana, or life plant! This plant is indigenous to Madagascar. It reproduces by producing little clones on the ends of its leaves (second picture) and dropping these clones into surrounding soil. While this individual plant is fairly young, it’s genetic material has been around for about 50 years!

Stick around next week for more fun plant facts! @ Seattle Pacific University Greenhouse
