Smart Dawgs:

At the end of July, the UW Solar Vehicle Team raced teams from around the world 1550 miles from Minnesota to Texas in the span of a week. They finished fourth overall and first among American teams, beating out fifth-place Stanford by nearly five hours.

The car, which is named Sakura and wrapped in a cherry blossom vinyl, is entirely solar powered.
