New on TEDD // Charting: A Mentor Teacher Activity
Earlier this year, we shared two routine activities that mentor teachers can use to create learning opportunities for their mentee during classroom instruction. “Huddling” and “Repeated Teaching” were designed to allow mentors to make both their teaching and their thinking visible to their mentee.
We've now added resources for a third mentoring activity, "Charting", which can help mentors direct a novice teachers’ attention to specific parts of teaching. It offers a way to shine a light on a teaching move, a student behavior, or an aspect of classroom life that a novice teacher may not be noticing yet.
