🌍 The final step in our 8th graders' months-long Change the World Project is to present their research and recommendations to a panel of experts.

Thank you to our esteemed panel members for 2026, who generously donated their time and expertise in support of students' civic engagement.

Panelists included Seattle City Councilmember Rob Saka, State Senator Emily Alvarado, Washington State Representative Brianna Thomas, Chris Lampkin, Deputy Cheif of Staff to King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda, Sage Lawrence, Policy Advisor to Seattle City Councilmember Dionne Foster, and other illustrious members of our community including current and former EWMS Trustees and staff.

🌍😍 Our eighth graders are hard at work changing the world!

Did you see them out and about in West Seattle this week? Groups of students canvassed to raise awareness and gather signatures for their "Change the World" projects.

Canvassing is just part of the interdisciplinary work students do as part of this months-long project, in which they align advocacy on local issues with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

🌲 Seeking a summer camp filled with outdoor exploration and discovery? Look no further! Our Outdoor Adventure Day Camp offers an engaging and exciting tour of the Pacific NW!
