Earlier this week, the governor signed the Millionaires Tax into law. This is a historic step in fixing Washington's upside-down tax code and building an economy that truly works for everyone.
✅ The Millionaires Tax will save a working parent of two young children tens of thousands of dollars annually, thanks to the preservation and addition of cost-saving programs.
✅ The Millionaires Tax will put hundreds of dollars back into students' pockets with the expansion of the Working Families Tax Credit.
✅ The Millionaires Tax will support small business owners with the most substantial small-business tax breaks in state history by doubling the Business and Occupation (B&O) tax credit and increasing the B&O tax return filing threshold to $250,000.
Thank you to everyone who supported this work, including advocates like you!

As the 2026 legislative session is now behind us, we want to thank each of you for your engagement, support, and advocacy. Each year, we are reminded that no good policy is inevitable – it takes thousands of people deciding to push in the right direction, for many days, weeks, months, and, in the case of the Millionaires Tax, decades. Thank you for making that decision with us. We literally couldn’t do it without you.

Tonight, we are celebrating history. The Millionaires Tax passed out of the House 51-46 after nearly 25 consecutive hours of debate.
Tomorrow, we will continue to fight for economy justice and an economy that works for everyone.
