We had a great first meeting last Saturday with good conversation, company, and coffee. Here is a brief list of what we discussed:
--Meeting times: 10:00AM on the 4th Saturday of every month
--Meeting place: Open for suggestions...
--Length of meetings: 1.5 - 2hrs
--Speaker: Working I-O professional will come and engage the group in an interactive 30 minute discussion around a piece of work they are doing
--If no speaker: We could all read an article and discuss or do a case study
--Unstructured group time: At least 1 hour will be given for the group to just talk, catch up, discuss their work, projects, or research
--Sharing site: Find a place to share documents, articles, books, abstracts, etc... (possibly Yammer?)
--Structure: Will not be overly structured, but have enough structure to facilitate some conversation on a topic (but also time just to chat about whatev)
--Form a web group for discussions
--Name: Come up with an awesome, catchy name

That about covers what we discussed... did I miss anything?
If anyone can think of a restaurant in the Seattle area where we can reserve a table for 10-15 on Saturday for brunch, let us know. Glen Acres Country Club was also very nice and we can continue to meet there!

Thanks again for everyone who came - looking forward to working together to create something great!
