This week we explored transformation — in our stories, our communication, and ourselves. 🌞

🎤 Chris reminded us that respect is the key to connection, while Piyush showed how empathy and listening with your heart can ignite growth.
🗣️ Table Topics brought out inspiring stories of change, challenge, and resilience.
😂 And yes, we laughed too: “What nation do people dislike most? Exami-nation.”

Guests shared they felt welcomed, energized, and inspired by the warm, supportive atmosphere.

We had two fantastic speeches that brought insight and inspiration:
🫙 Tristan shared his passion for canning as a hobby, highlighting not only the practical process but also the deeper values of self-sufficiency, connection, and community. He reminded us how simple traditions can bring people together and strengthen bonds.
🌍 Anil took us on a journey through Gandhi’s early life, starting with his bold move to South Africa. His speech explored the four phases of change—denial, exploration, acceptance, and growth—using powerful historical and personal reflections to show how change shapes us.
🎤 A special thank you to all our guests who bravely participated in our 1-minute impromptu speeches on the day's theme. You made the meeting fun, thoughtful, and engaging!

Hola Cosmos!

It was an incredible evening and an amazing meeting! Thank you all for being there and helping us achieve quorum, making the meeting a success. I’m thrilled to introduce the team that will lead us into the next year, and I’m super excited about the future of our club and to see where they’ll take us!

We have one last meeting with me as President - next week where we’ll do the official handover. We’ll have Chris Rimple joining us as well.

Our very own Manny just gave his speech at the District 2 Convention- Failure, Love & Decisions!!!

Was incredible! 🔥🔥🔥

I was having a geeky conversation after work with my dad a couple weeks back. He asked me, “What kind of team would you dream to build?”

I paused. Thought about it. And then said: The A-Team.

One of my earliest jobs was back at Tesla in 2016. Back then, it still felt like a startup, at least to me. The place was buzzing! People stayed late, were underpaid, and yet still couldn’t wait to come back the next day. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about why the chemistry and vibe of that team was so good.

And then it hit me during one of our Cosmos meetings.

The A-Team has three ingredients:

The seasoned pros. Grandmasters. People who’ve been doing this for over a decade. They’ve broken barriers, built things that once seemed impossible or at least very hard.

The young guns. Viciously smart. Bold. Reckless in a good way. They're not weighed down by “what’s been done before.” They question the rules. They dream bigger. And sometimes… they’re right.

A level field. Give everyone a voice in a fun learning environment.

Our best Cosmos meetings reflect that exact mix. We’ve got future greats learning the ropes from veterans who’ve been there, done that. That’s why I call Cosmos the A-Team.

Big shoutout to our Cosmos seasoned pros (you all know yourselves 😁😁😁). You’ve been here, mentoring, modeling, making it fun, and setting the bar for all of us future mentors.

The seasoned folks get even better by sharing their feedback, insights, and incredible stories with us. And we get to level up by learning from the best. And somehow, we all have a blast in the process.

I will not be El-Presidente much longer, but I'm sure this A-Team energy sticks. I know today’s newbies will become tomorrow’s mentors. Let’s keep this spinning wheel spinning!

Cosmos Meeting Recap — May 9th 2025

“What is the purpose? What is the purpose? Aha! That’s the purpose!”

—Majiec exclaimed as he delivered his evaluation of Asha’s speech. And I couldn’t agree more.

I won’t spoil it for those who missed Asha’s speech, but if you see her, please give her a big congrats. Her speech was phenomenal, and she landed the perfect surprise at the end.

Alex was our second speaker of the day and taught us about the art of storytelling. He broke down the structure of the hero’s arc and then “extemporaneously” crafted a story on the spot that got us all hooked. It was clever, insightful, and a joy to watch.

If I’ll be honest, the highlight for many of us? Snackfest!!! Yep, the delicious spread brought by Nancy, Majiec (courtesy of Jasmine😉), and Chris. All in honor of Chris’s fun and tasty theme.

Huge thanks to everyone who took a role this week. Joy, your table topics were 🔥 , our GE Darpan, our evaluators- Michael P and Maciej, and everyone who took a role and participated in table topics. Y’all nailed it big time.
