We talk a lot about having a solid plan. 📋
A strategy. A roadmap. A five-step framework.
And yes — plans matter.
But here’s what matters just as much:
Your faith in your ability to create a new plan if this one falls apart. 💛
Because in business (and honestly, in life), not everything goes according to plan. Markets shift. Ideas flop. Timelines stretch. That doesn’t mean you’re doomed — it means you’re building something real.
The difference between spiraling and moving forward isn’t whether the original plan worked.
It’s whether you trust yourself to adjust.
When you believe that, if things don’t go to plan, you’ll come up with a new one… fear loses its grip. Courage steps in. ✨
If you want to dig deeper into this — including two simple strategies for prevailing anyway — I unpack it in my latest article.
👉 Go read it (linked below) and strengthen the faith that fuels your resilience.

Fear of failure is LOUD. 📣
It feels real in your body.
It tightens your chest.
It tells you not to try.
But here’s something we don’t talk about enough:
The fear of failure and an actual plan failing are two completely different things.
Fear is an emotion. It shows up before anything has even happened.
A failed plan? That’s data. That’s feedback. That’s something you can revise.
When you’re self-employed (or thinking about it), it’s easy to assume that if something doesn’t go to plan, it means you failed. But that’s not how it works. Plans change. Markets shift. You learn. You adjust.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear.
It’s trusting that even if the plan falls apart… you won’t.
If this hits home, I wrote more about it — including two simple strategies to move forward even when fear is loud.
Go read the full article linked below and remind yourself what you’re actually capable of. 💛

Most of us don’t have to imagine what an exploitative contract feels like — we’ve lived it 😒
The fine print you didn’t notice.
The cancellation clause that only worked one way.
The moment you realized the agreement protected the company… and not you.
So it makes total sense that, as business owners, contracts can feel gross or intimidating. If your main reference point is being burned as a consumer, of course you’d want to avoid recreating that energy in your own work.
Here’s the reframe: doing business does not require contracts to be icky.
A well-written contract isn’t about leverage or loopholes — it’s about clarity. It sets expectations up front, reduces misunderstandings, and helps everyone feel safer in the relationship 🤝
Contracts can be relational.
They can be positive.
They can support trust instead of undermining it ✨
If you’ve been avoiding contracts because of bad past experiences, there’s another way to think about them — and I unpack it in this blog post.
