Achievements
In our 6 years of operation, H.E.R.O has achieved the following:

Renovated 6 schools with 15 classrooms in 3 different regions in Somalia. Delivered 3 40 foot containers of medical supplies worth over $500,000 to Gedo, Galgaduud, and Puntland regions of Somalia. Encouraged villages and towns to be self-sufficient by advising to hire their own teachers (accountability by the stakeholders). Funded and participated the 2011, 2012, and 2104 drought relief in East Africa.

Hassan Bashir (Hassan Sunni) is a dedicated IT professional, nonprofit leader, and content creator passionate about education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. Originally from Minnesota, Hassan attended Minnesota State Technical College in Moorhead before moving to Washington state to further his studies in IT.

In 2009, he co-founded the Health and Education Relief Organization (HERO), a Seattle-based nonprofit committed to renovating and building schools and hospitals in underserved areas of Africa. Under his leadership, HERO continues to provide essential support to communities in need.

Since 2007, Hassan has also been a freelance content creator, using digital platforms to inspire young people to become independent, self-sufficient, and proactive in supporting their families.

Professionally, he has worked as IT since 2011, contributing his IT expertise to various projects. His commitment to technology, humanitarian work, and youth empowerment reflects his dedication to making a lasting impact in both local and global communities.
