🎶🪇Think you need to be a singer or musician to have a musical child? Think again! Music Together is built on the research showing that all children are biologically wired to be musically competent!

3 myths about children's music we are debunking!🤪

Myth # 1️⃣ - Start learning an instrument as early as possible. Nope! Starting playing with music as early as possible means exactly that. Starting formal instrument lessons early means possibly forcing a too-young child to do something they're not ready for. If they can't sit for a meal, they definitely can't sit for a music lesson.

Myth # 2️⃣ - They're either born with it, or they're not. Not exactly! All babies are born with the ability to learn to sing and dance, just like they learn to walk and talk. They need lots of exposure and repetition to master it, though! Just a few classes here and there aren't going to cut it.

Myth # 3️⃣ - I have no musical talent myself, so I can't teach my child music. Do you play catch with your toddler even if you're not a pro ball player? Of course you do, because you want them to have fun and learn to throw the ball back and forth. Music is the same thing! You can teach them to love music, to find the rhythm, to put lyrics to a beat, and to simply enjoy the beauty of music. Being talented isn't required at all!
