Jen Kovarovic, director of Suzuki by the Sound, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from New York University and a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington. She received her Suzuki training from Louise Behrend at the School for Strings and from Ronda Cole at the Northern Virginia Suzuki Music School.

How do you get to Carnegie Hall? You get a teacher who misses NY bagels so much that she manifests an opportunity to have her students perform there! No wait, I mean...practice, practice, practice.

Either way, I'm beyond thrilled that SBTS students will get a chance to play at Carnegie this June. East coast, here we come!!!

Congratulations to all on an awesome Winter Recital! There were so many amazing moments, and I thought this one deserved special recognition.

Tons of hard work + first solo piece + having your dad accompany you = magic! Ta-da!

After every recital, I am just amazed by the hard work that these young musicians put in so that they can show up poised and prepared! One of the highlights of our Fall Recital was hearing the joy and self-expression that each student brought to their performance. Congratulations, violinists!!!
