FEBRUARY 25 – MARCH 4
Diversity Week at the University of Washington School of Law offers students, faculty and staff the opportunity to learn and celebrate. Beginning in 2013, UW Law has set aside one week to focus on what it means to be a diverse, inclusive, culturally competent institution dedicated to social justice. This year’s events shall include opportunities to listen, question, learn, and have fun.

Check out the GWSS 374– INTRODUCTION TO TRANSGENDER STUDIES course offered this summer quarter!
This course offers a selective introduction to transgender studies as an emerging field of inquiry and ‘transgender’ both as a gender identity category and as an analytic.

What does it mean to look beyond a simplistic binary of "man" and "woman"? With definitions of s*x and gender as a starting point, we blur these contested categories, complicating them with s*xuality, race, class, ability, history, and location.

This quarter the Career and Internship Center is offering small group career coaching just for Arts and Sciences students. These 45 minute sessions are capped at 12 students and offer a combination of hands on activities and a chance to ask questions about a variety of career topics.
