A warm welcome to the DTS team -- we are thrilled to introduce Julie Cadman-Kim, our new English Teacher and Director of Communications. We are so excited to have you with us, Julie! 📚✍️

We have been hard at work preparing for the school year, but today we took time to connect and create together. We tried our hands at Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold. It was a much-needed reminder to embrace our individual imperfections and to celebrate repair ✨️

What happens when you turn Seattle Center and Lower Queen Anne into a living math classroom?

At DTS, students are stepping outside the textbook and into real-world problem solving, from calculating Space Needle geometry at the top of the city to testing statistical models with hands-on experiments just minutes from campus.

These “City-as-Campus” experiences are transforming how students learn math!
