Today, the Dickβs Drive-In Hamburger Truck returned to campus, bringing plenty of excitement and smiles to our students and staff. Every student enjoyed a free Dickβs hamburger and milkshake, making for a fun and memorable day together.
Thank you to Dickβs Drive-In for their generosity and for helping make this beloved tradition possible year after year. We are so grateful for your support of our school community and for creating a special experience our students look forward to each spring. ππ

ππ Today we celebrated our beloved 8th graders at the End-of-Year Farewell Assembly. From performances to special gifts and tributes, every grade level played a part in sending our graduates off with love and gratitude.
The gym was filled with laughter, joy, memories, and more than a few tears as our students reflected on their years at St. John and the incredible community that has supported them along the way.
Thank you to our teachers, staff, and parents for helping create such a meaningful celebration. We are so proud of our 8th graders and canβt wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish as they begin their next chapter.

πΏ Our 5th graders spent the day serving the community at Lake Sammamish State Park during a stewardship event with Mountains to Sound Greenway! Students worked hard removing invasive blackberry bushes and spreading mulch throughout the forest floor to help prevent the regrowth of non-native plants.
We are so proud of their teamwork, service, and care for Godβs creation! ππ A special thank you to our amazing teachers and parent volunteers for helping make this meaningful day possible.
Eighth grade students recently returned from a 5-day tour of the Southeast. The Stories that Shaped Our Nation trip included stops in Memphis, Clarksdale and Sumner, MS, and Tuscaloosa, Selma, Montgomery, AL. Students toured historical Civil Rights sites and monuments, interacted with Bryan Stevenson .org, sat in the courtroom where the Emmett Till murder trial occurred, participated in service at the Edmundite Missions, and toured the . The trip concluded in New Orleans where students experienced a Bayou boat cruise, made music on the Mississippi River with and and toured the historical Jackson Square along with the National World War II Museum. ππ± Our preschoolers enjoyed a beautiful day, earlier this week, exploring the St. John School garden! Students have been learning all about the life cycle of ladybugs and were so excited to release ladybugs into the garden to help the plants grow strong and healthy. They also spent time carefully observing and drawing pictures of the flowers, vegetables, and plants growing around them. What a wonderful hands-on way to learn about nature, science, and Godβs creation! πΌπ¨π

πβ¨ Habitat Day was a success for our 1st graders! Throughout the day, different classes visited the 1st grade in Egan Hall to see all of the amazing habitat projects our students created. Our young learners proudly shared what they knew about animals, environments, and ecosystems, showing off their creativity, knowledge, and confidence. We are so proud of the hard work and excitement they brought to this special day! π’πΏπ¦π»
βοΈ Our 1st graders had an incredible adventure at the Center for Wooden Boats today! Students explored the waterfront, learned about boats and life on the water, and even made their own little wooden boats. πβ΅οΈ
From hands-on activities to discovering how boats are built and float, it was a day full of creativity, curiosity, and fun learning experiences. We loved seeing our students working together, exploring Seattleβs waterfront, and proudly showing off their boat creations! ππ

π¨ What a sweet way to kick off the holiday weekend! Today, all of our students enjoyed delicious sundaes from Nutty Squirrel Gelato thanks to the incredible generosity of families who donated during this yearβs auction for the special βSundaes at Schoolβ experience. Students were also treated to an extra recess filled with sunshine, laughter, and fun! βοΈπ

πΆ Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the talented choir from Bishop Blanchet High School to St. John! Our students were inspired by their beautiful voices, joyful energy, and incredible performance.

π²π Our 5th graders had an incredible day exploring the Tiger Mountain ecosystem with the Mountains to Sound Greenway! Students investigated the forest by identifying biotic and abiotic elements while discovering the amazing diversity of plants, animals, and natural systems found right here in the Pacific Northwest. πΏπ¦π§οΈ
Hands-on learning in nature helps bring science to life, and our students were full of curiosity and wonder throughout the adventure! π
