PARLIAMO ITALIANO: "l'esperienza"

06/02/2026

We are pleased to introduce this new writing course designed for High Intermediate to Advanced students who wish to develop their Italian through creative storytelling. The course was created in response to requests from percorsoItaliano students who are passionate about reading and writing in Italian and eager to explore a more creative approach to language learning.

Led by Italian author Simona Bertocchi, a friend of percorsoItaliano and experienced writer of novels and historical fiction, the course draws on her extensive literary background, including eight published books and participation in numerous literary events.

Students will collaborate on a shared narrative inspired by the theme “Viaggio in Italia.” Starting from a selection of story ideas provided by the instructor, they will develop personaggi, trama ed ambientazioni italiane, step by step, working together like a small writing team under Simona Bertocchi’s guidance.

Each lesson combines language practice, creativity, and discussion, encouraging active participation through ideas, dialogue, and description while strengthening narrative skills in Italian.

By the end of this course, in a collaborative effort, participants will have created a short story in Italian, gaining fluency, confidence, and expressive ability through writing.

During the summer, percorsoItaliano takes a break from its regular 9-week courses to offer a special Summer 2026 session: UN'ESTATE ITALIANA.

Beginning July 20, students at all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced, can join 3-week “Incontri di conversazione”, conversation classes twice a week to practice speaking, listening, reading, writing, and expanding vocabulary through Italian culture.
Our summer’s conversation classes are named after four beautiful southern Italian regions: la Sicilia, la Sardegna, la Puglia e la Calabria. These regions are known for their stunning coastlines, rich traditions, and vibrant culture. While wonderful to visit in the summer, they are destinations worth exploring all year round.

Join us for a summer of conversation, culture, and discovery, a chance to practice your Italian, meet new people, and build confidence in a warm and engaging environment.
