I normally make this dish for Easter Sunday but this year I'll be in Naples on Easter, so I thought why not enjoy the dish earlier!

Pesce Spada alla Griglia con Fagioli Corona, Fava e Borlotti /
Grilled Swordfish with Corona, Fava and Borlotti Beans.
Tuscans are renowned for their love of beans, so much so that they are sometimes mockingly referred to as "mangiafagioli", or bean-eaters. My surname is Tuscan in origin (Pisano, i.e., "from Pisa").
Italians love their swordfish, pesce spada, but nowhere more so than in Calabria where the fish occurs in abundance off the coast. My maternal grandparents hailed from Calabria.
So it's little surprise that tonight's dish has a deeply personal resonance.

Spaghetti con le Polpette, a dish that originated not in the United States but in the heart of Abruzzo! The meatballs are about the size of grapes, so yes - - there's an art to restraint.
Hope this clears everything up! 😎
