Congratulations to Concord International School for advancing to the City Finals of Seattle Public Library's Global Reading Challenge! Their team, "The Winning 4th Graders" won a tiebreaker question at today's semifinal round at the Central Library. They face off next Tuesday against nine other school teams from across the city. The last time Concord made it to the City Final was 2011. Great job representing Concord and best of luck to The Winning 4th Graders!!!

RUMOR ALERT: We would like to dispel a rumor going around that there has been a fire at Concord in which several people were injured. This is not true. The PTA has contacted and spoken directly with school administration, who are aware of the rumor and in contact with the district about how to address it. It appears the rumor may have started on an app called citizen.com. If you hear this rumor, please do not be alarmed. All is well and please help spread the word that this is not true.

La PTA se ha puesto en contacto con la administración escolar y ha hablado directamente con ella, quienes están al tanto del rumor y en contacto con el distrito para abordarlo. Al parecer, el rumor podría haber surgido en una aplicación llamada citizen.com. Si escuchan este rumor, no se alarmen. Todo está bien y, por favor, ayuden a difundir la información de que esto no es cierto.
