Food delivery days! It’s the best part of my week during distance learning. But building a pantry has been a lot of work. Like, ALOT of work. Has anyone else tried it before? So we are shifting gears and today we are going to meet with a local feed bank and forge a new partnership to feed our families this Spring.

In case you didn’t hear the good news. My passion project Seed of Hope, in partnership with many amazing sponsors and givers in this community sponsored 119 kids for the holidays. And I couldn’t even begin to explain the impact you all made on these kids and the relief you gave to their parents. If anyone out there wants to know how they can start a program like this in their community dm me. You can do it. Start small and grow. I am more than happy to say more.

Whelp! It’s the end of January and I am back and loyal to I Love School Counseling. I took a loooonnnnng break from social media in the counseling world because I was burnt out. People keep talking about self care. Like taking a bath is a magic fix to the mess that our education system is in...but I have to be honest you guys, even the most involved self care like the mountainside hikes that feed my soul, are not enough to heal the trauma that has seeped into my bones as an educator this past year. It’s going to take a lot more than that. That’s for real.

This year I’ve partnered with Bruin Pantry, the high school pantry to provide a couple bags of groceries weekly to our most in need families! But as you know, our families need more than food. They need hygiene items! Think tampons/pads, full size shampoo and conditioner, body wash, soap, hand sanitizer, etc... and for the first time ever I created an Amazon wish list and am asking people to donate via Amazon. I also asked for donations via Venmo. I’ll keep you updated fam bam! I hope it works 🤞! If you want to donate go to link below. Also, be sure to change default address to Seed of Hope.
