This year, our team made extensive use of 3D-printing. Our fairing layup molds, frame welding jigs, and electronics enclosures all require filament with high dimensional accuracy, and SUNLU PLA Matte has fit the bill.

Recently our team leads came together to create a day in the life, giving you all a sneak peak into what it is like to be a member of UW Superbike. We had so much fun participating in this trend and we hope you all enjoy.

Our EE team has been spending many evenings in the pit manufacturing new circuit boards, creating wiring harnesses, and testing the full electrical system. Everything is starting to come together.

The fatigue of hours in the machine shop is overcome by the excitement of assembly. Our structures subteam has been TIG welding our frame substructures, CNC milling triple clamps, and building our swingarm jig.

New frame day! 🏍️
Today, our members took time out of their spring break to pick up T3’s frame, the heart of the motorcycle’s structures.
We’re very excited to have this integral part of our bike, and want to shout out in Enumclaw for their excellent and timely fabrication. Be sure to check XO-Fab out for off-road parts, accessories, and custom fabrication!

For DAWG DAZE, Superbike is once again hosting an engineering-themed Trivia Night! Save the date: September 24th from 4:30-5:30pm in HUB 214.
Test your knowledge with questions ranging from technical concepts to fun facts about famous engineers, engineering companies, and historical innovations.
Whether you’re an engineering expert or just starting out, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join! We’ll be giving away awesome prizes like team merch, engineering tools (calipers, multimeters, etc.), and candy!
Come for the trivia, and stay to learn more about the Washington Superbike team! Excited to see you all there!
