Research, argumentation, and debate came together this week as 10th grade students put their skills to work in a mock trial.

With 9th grade serving as the jury, students practiced not only making persuasive arguments, but listening carefully and weighing competing claims.

Senior prank!

The Class of 2026 surprised the school this morning with a bouncy house at the front entrance.

There were plenty of double takes, lots of laughter, and more than a few students wishing every school day started this way.

After weeks of designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting, 8th grade Rube Goldberg machines reached their moment of truth.

Increasingly elaborate chain reactions, plenty of problem-solving, and some well-earned celebration at the end.

Sixth grade spent the afternoon learning from an ER doctor as part of their human anatomy and physiology studies.

Pig heart dissections, blood flow, and a closer look at one of the body's hardest-working organs.

"Listen, my children, and you shall hear..."

Many know the opening line. Few can recite the entire poem.

Last week, five 5th-grade students successfully recited Paul Revere's Ride in its entirety with 10 or fewer errors—an impressive accomplishment!

Celebrating the SCCS Class of 2026 as graduation draws near!

There’s not much time left in the school year to see SCCS in action.

If you’ve been considering Seattle Classical Christian School, now is a wonderful time to visit while classrooms are still full of discussion, projects, performances, and daily life together.

Applications are still being accepted for select grades.

7th grade science students tested the mammalian dive reflex this week.

By observing how the body responds to cold water and breath-holding, students explored the remarkable ways the human body adapts and protects itself.

8th Grade life lately:

Rube Goldberg machines are becoming increasingly elaborate as students design chain reactions and problem-solving systems, Bayeux Tapestry embroidery projects continue appearing in every spare moment around the school, and figure drawing this week focused on quick observational sketches ranging from 2 to 10 minutes.

Hands busy, minds engaged.

Protocol is a special SCCS tradition for our 9th–12th grade students.

Each year, students dress formally, share a meal together, and attend a performance in the city—in this case, Phantom of the Opera downtown.

But more than the event itself, Protocol is about learning how to move through the world with maturity, confidence, and care for others. It was a joy to watch students represent the school so thoughtfully throughout the evening—from conversations at dinner to lively debates afterward over whether the Phantom was a villain or victim.
