Art is kind, smart and important....
I am a reliable, experienced figure model who is always looking for new gigs:

hard working model * reliable * fun to draw * dynamic, inventive, expressive poses * classical look * holds remarkably still * ⬇️ worth every penny

I have posed for over 60 venues plus a handful of individual artists over the past 3 years. Everyone has either hired me back or have indicated that they will do so.

What an amazing Art Camp! Sofia loved every minute of it! Special thanks to Mark, Otis and Kelly! You all helped to make it very special for Sofia!
The painting I picked up from your school looks fabulous on my wall. Thanks!!
Hi Mark--Here's a link to your interview. Thanks a million for taking the time--and having the remarkable gifts--to do this. Cheers.
If I am interested in looking at the art available for purchase when is the best time to come down and view? Preferably during the weekend.
I was hoping to get in today and use my groupon for you. Its expiring soon in this upcoming week. When can I use it. I have today and tomorrow off. Left you a message on the phone. Thanks.

Know a Teen Who Wants to Learn Pixel Art? 07/05/2021

This is for a student at my School in White Center. The teen I have who wants to learn is on scholarship. She is a very smart and shy young woman from Guadalajara. Her name is Alejandra. Her parents are so proud of her and want to give her every chance to become a working artist. She is so dedicated she does art 5 hours a day on her own! I just don't have the skills to teach her computer animation which is really her calling. I have a wonderful teacher, Kelly Martin for her but I just need to find a way to pay her for her trouble. I have worked with Kelly for years doing animation camp for kids at my school. We can't do a big camp with the virus but I would like to get 2 or 3 teens to the school on Sundays from 1-5pm to join, Your teen could do part of that time or all of it, we need a minimum of at least 2 hrs. Your part would be $20/hr. Kelly has to take the bus from Federal Way to do this so I want to try and make it worth her while.

Know a Teen Who Wants to Learn Pixel Art? Hi I have teen (14 year old shy girl) who wants to learn Pixel Art. I have a great tutor to teach her in person. I wonder if anyone ou...

INTUITIVE DRAWING ONLINE STARTS 3/22

Miller School of Art 03/18/2020

Online Classes http://millerschoolart.com/classes.html

Intuitive Drawing
Using simple materials discover how to start drawing intuitively! Not about draftsmanship, penmanship, or craftsmanship. It's about learning to feel your way in the dark and having fun trusting your instincts. Great for any level from "never doodled" to Leonardo. We will have one assignment a week for 8 weeks and final critique all online for a total of 9 sessions. Get group and instructor feedback weekly during our online class. Can't make the class? No problem, get your feedback in notes. Use Zoom on your phone tablet or computer to join the critique from wherever you are holed up. Don't let your creativity die while we kill off Covid-19! Supply list here Every Sunday from March 22nd to May 31st, 2pm-4pm (or later if we get lots of creative synchronicity.) BUT REMEMBER YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THERE EVERY TIME, JUST TURN IN YOUR ASSIGNMENT AND GET YOUR CRITIQUE LATER. $280

Figure in Proportion: the Intuitive Approach
Many people think that if they can’t draw in proportion they are “not talented” and have no business doing art. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you are not suited to careful measuring and painstaking draftsmanship you are not alone. This has nothing to do with whether or not you are “talented” or whether or not you should try making art. This workshop will teach even the most drafting averse person how to get proportion without sacrificing the real value of the artwork, which is to learn to be comfortable with your own set of “talents”. Some people never can make precise measurements, but they can still draw in proportion through an intuitive quick approach. Supply list here. 3/29/2020, 10am-2pm online $70

Group Critique Series
For people who want to make art during the shutdown. You don't have to work all by your lonesome during the plague! Make your art like crazy and engage! You can get together with other creatives to produce, grow, and learn to see through a dynamic group critique. Once a month for 3 months we will meet online and share our work one by one. I have been leading these in real life for 34 years. I know it is an amazing way to motivate and grow. Not only do you hear what others have to say about your work, but hear what they say about other people's work. Which can be even more valuable. Prerequisite: making art already, painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, photography, printing. Saturdays 11am-1pm (or later if we get lots of creative synchronicity). March 28th, April 25th and May 30th. YOU WILL NEED TO BE PRESENT ONLINE TO PARTICIPATE $60

Individual Critique
For artists who want feedback from a teacher of 34 years. Show me what you have been working on find out some insights. Get pushed out of your rut. Find the light in your solitude. See my work and my resume and decide if you want to take the leap into knowledgeable feedback. Schedule appointment by responding to this email. $50/hr

Expressive Figure Workshop was a blast!

Miller School of Art 11/17/2019

We are a friendly affordable Community place to express yourself and learn how to paint. We offer beginner classes in learning how to draw and in Experimental Painting with all supplies included. We are relocating from 10 years in Georgetown. We love White Center and the Greenbridge King County development on 8th avenue Southwest and Roxbury. Check us out at millerschoolart.com and stop by anytime.
more details: We have two options of classes for beginners, Beginning Drawing/Painting or Experimental Painting. The first option is a rigorous drawing program that usually takes all 8 sessions before you start oil painting. The second option, "Experimental", you start painting right away and go through six lessons in oil, wax, acrylic, watercolor, etc. Then you usually have four more sessions to do independent work. In both classes you get 8 four hour sessions. You don't have to take them sequentially, you can drop in during any of the five class times a week. You just need to try and finish your class in 2 months. All the materials are included for $280. We also have Saturday workshops on a variety of topics from 'Expressive Figure," to "Real Color". This Saturday, from 10am-2pm, we have a live model for "Figure Proportions". The fee is $70 and includes all materials. Beginners are welcome, no drawing experience is required. You can drop in at 10am this Saturday and try it out at 9610 8th Ave SW.
