Meet Azeemah Sadiq, a 2025 Alexander Hamilton Scholar.

Growing up in Alief, a historically overlooked community in Southwest Houston, Azeemah saw how often her community was defined by what it lacked—not its potential.

So she decided to change that.

She founded Generational Relief, mobilizing young people around civic engagement and community advocacy—and has already helped raise over $50,000 to support local programs.

Now, she’s headed to Stanford University as a first-generation college student.

This is what happens when students are supported, seen, and invested in.

! 🎉 2023 Hamilton Scholar Elise Zeigler has been named a Truman Scholarship Finalist for public service, selected from a pool of 800 applicants nationwide! She’ll interview this month for the chance to represent her state as a Truman Scholar, one of the nation’s top graduate fellowships for future public service leaders.
