Based in Nashville, TN, Sara J has an extraordinary way of combining her passions across a huge variety of musical disciplines. Refusing to limit herself to one area, Sara is skilled across the board as an artist, keyboardist, songwriter, producer, composer, arranger, and private teacher.

A seasoned songwriter, Sara J writes raw lyrics and distinguished melodies across a variety of genres, specializing in pop, jazz, & Christian and gospel. She is an inventive creator, shaping and refining her music from start to finish. There is no part of the music creation process in which she is not the driving force. Brilliant in the music technology realm, Sara J has the stunning ability to move her innovative ideas from concept to completion in Logic Pro X.

Sara J is well versed in classical, commercial, and jazz styles on keyboard, and has an array of performance experience including sets at Rudy’s Jazz Room, with The Jazz Alliance, as well as 10+ years of experience as a church pianist.

A composer across multiple styles and ensembles, from solo piano to jazz band to orchestra and everything in between, Sara J’s dazzling works have been performed at the Parthenon in Nashville, TN as well as multiple recitals at Belmont University. Her breathtaking scores and thrilling arrangements can be applied to film, media, or live performance.

As a producer, Sara J is incredibly passionate about helping artists through every step of their song’s creation process. She has worked for multiple recording artists in Nashville, helping them create the music of their dreams and walking them through the release process. Supporting the artist’s vision for his or her music is her number one priority.

She is incredibly passionate about teaching and takes a personal and expertly creative approach to her private lessons. Sara J trains her students of all ages in many musical styles, integrating songwriting, composing, and music technology into her lessons, and personalizing each lesson to the students’ interests and needs.
