After completing their study of state government in social studies, students took their learning beyond the classroom and into the heart of government. From touring the rotunda and executive offices to visiting legislative chambers and participating in a mock court hearing, they experienced government in action firsthand! 🏛️✨

Last week’s Mass was beautifully led by our teachers. During his homily, Father reflected on the martyr Saint Christopher Magallanes of Mexico, whom we remembered in prayer.
It was also a special and bittersweet Mass as we celebrated our 8th grade altar servers during their final school Mass.
We are also excited to share some great news. After Mass, eleven students were trained by Father Parrish and Daniel Pelfrey to become new altar servers!

In this week’s lesson, students change the strength and direction of a wrecking ball’s push in order to solve a tricky problem. The activity, "Don’t Crash That House” is a game in which students experimented with the force of a paper wrecking ball in order to knock down a wall of cups without knocking down the surrounding neighboring paper houses.
