We discuss and engage in activities ranging in the field of Japanese pop-culture (such as anime, cosplay, fashion, music) as well as more traditional things (like festivals, history, nature, and language). In the past we have offered various activities related to Japan such as origami making, beginners Japanese language lessons, conversation group events, movie nights, organizing and planning soci
al events for the Japanese cultural community as SCC (for example organizing the welcome party for the HTC/TJHC Japanese transfer students!), and much more! Our current goal for this quarter is to become more education-oriented, and make this club more of a learning experience for everyone in it. The community here at Shoreline is very diverse and we can learn so much from each other. So if you are excited about learning about Japanese Culture, or if you are Japanese and want to share this amazing culture with us, we would be so happy to have you join our club! Our club also includes field trips to many different exciting places, such as the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, the Calligraphy Festival, and other Japanese cultural events in Seattle.
