University of Washington - Brotherhood Initiative

University of Washington - Brotherhood Initiative The Brotherhood Initiative at the University of Washington is a dynamic research team and practitioners aligning to support males of color.

The BI is a collaborative partnership among the College of Education, Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, and the Division of Student Life. Guided by a steering committee of staff, faculty, and students, the BI focuses on two primary goals:

Promote student growth and success by developing a cohort-based support system that will holistically promote the academ

Inform research and policy by conducting interdisciplinary research on factors that promote the success of young men of color within the educational system
